 July 21, 2001 will mark the first annual Hawaii 5K Run & Fun Walk to raise money for the fight against leukemia. This year's beneficiary is Alyssa McCarty, a 14-year old Austin girl currently in a courageous battle against leukemia. Alyssa's family and friends have partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and RunTex, to develop The Hawaii 5K as a way to alleviate the extraordinarily expensive medical bills that Alyssa's family is currently facing. It is our hope that The Hawaii 5K will not only be a successful fund raiser, but will also be a fun, family event that will be a unique occasion to celebrate life. We are looking for your sponsorship of The Hawaii 5K to make it successful. Our goal is to raise more than $20,000 for Alyssa's family and we can't do it without your help. We are currently seeking corporate sponsors to underwrite this event. We are offering various sponsorship levels with guaranteed corresponding publicity and exposure for your business.
